Tree work in Blackburn comes under Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. If a tree has a Tree Preservation Order on it, you need their written consent before any cutting. If the property is in a conservation area, they need six weeks' written notice before the work starts.
We check which applies to your address as part of quoting, and we will not cut a protected tree without the paperwork being right. It is a criminal offence, and the fine lands on the householder as well as the contractor.
